Hermaphroditisches Sonn- und Monds-Kind (1752)

My first study of Alchemical art, 18th century, using a blackwing pencil and about 4-5 unfocused hours. For my reference I took a photo of a page from an early edition of the Bollingen printing of Jung's 'Psychology and Alchemy'. Hard to know what was what sometimes, but I'm not unhappy with the end result. I wasn't sure why I felt the need to start with this drawing, then later read that it's depicting the first stage in Alchemical Transformation. Fitting. Eerily, I felt like the drawing needed something in the bottom left, but I didn't want to put my name, so I wrote the date of the original piece. Then went online and found the original artwork, to discover my drawing did not look that dissimilar to the original, the foxing vs smudging of the page, and in the bottom left of the original, there was in fact, writing.
